Sentryx™ AMR

Sentryx AMR (Automated Meter Reading) combines the simplicity of drive-by data collection with the timely data access utilities need in the office.

Data is collected through the Mi.Net Mobile Transceiver and displayed in a mobile application on a tablet or smartphone. The interface helps drivers quickly identify which meters have been read, which remain uncollected, and which meters have active alerts.

Maps and tables use color-coded icons to display meter status, while unique audio tones help drivers work efficiently without constantly checking the screen.

Efficient Field Operations

The system is designed to support multiple collection methods. Utilities can follow traditional route-by-route reading or capture readings from any Mueller Nodes (MIUs) within radio frequency range.

The mobile application also provides tools that allow field staff to:

  • Filter meter data for faster navigation
  • Perform manual readings when needed
  • View previous meter readings
  • Continue working without interruption in areas with poor cellular coverage

This flexibility allows crews to stay productive while ensuring accurate and complete data collection.

Real-Time Visibility for the Office

Because Sentryx AMR is cloud-based, data collected in the field becomes available to office personnel almost immediately.

For example, a driver can pass by a Remote Disconnect Meter (RDM) to activate service, and a customer service representative can see the status change in real time and notify the customer that their water service has been connected.

Office users have access to the same maps and data tables as field personnel, along with enhanced filtering, reporting, and data export capabilities.

Consumption graphs and tables display billing-cycle data as well as intermittent readings collected whenever a vehicle is within range of a meter or when a manual read is performed. This expanded visibility helps utilities:

  • Identify unusual consumption patterns
  • Detect potential leaks earlier
  • Respond more quickly to alert conditions

Historical data is also available for analysis, and exchanging data with the billing system is simple and seamless.

Secure by Design

Data security is a top priority. All system data is encrypted both in transit and at rest to ensure sensitive information is protected.

Access controls restrict system access to authenticated users, and the platform is continuously monitored using a combination of Mueller and Amazon Web ServicesTM (AWSTM) security best practices. Sentryx AMR uses role-based access control to ensure the right people have the right access, nothing more.
