Walkerton, Ontario has grown as a destination for drinking water research and training, with the opening of the Echologics Innovation Site.
Located beside the Walkerton Clean Water Centre, Echologics’ research and development site will advance innovations in water main leak detection and pipeline assessment technologies. More than 600 metres of plastic and metallic water mains, will allow trainers, researchers and staff, to replicate real-world conditions that can affect leak detection and pipeline condition assessment.
Commissioned on September 10, 2015, the site opened its doors to media and water professionals. Here is a look at this unique facility.
